Wednesday we return to Ordinary Time along with the Feast of the Italian bishop Saint Eusebius of Vercelli and the holy priest Saint Julian Eymard. The latter was a French Marist who was so dedicated to the Most Blessed Sacrament that he founded a religious order of nuns whose sole purpose was to perpetually adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. He also founded the Eucharistic League for Priests and Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament.

Due to electrical problems, we lost our e-mail capabilities and are striving to reestablish our files so we can get into all the e-mails mounting up. Included in these are the news stories for the past few days that we normally bring you in this section. Because of this glitch we are also unable to bring you Dr. Frank Joseph's Pro-Life Prescriptions column normally in the Wednesday-Thursday issue. Hopefully it will be in Friday's issue. We apologize for this inconvenience and pray we'll be back up and running soon.

"Angels will go out and separate the wicked from among the just, and will cast them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." We all need to heed Christ's words in Matthew 13 as we point out in our CATHOLIC PewPOINT in rallying Catholics to not be intimidated by the political correctness of Abortion and Sodomy. These are sins before God. They're wrong and we must speak out strongly and loudly against the sin!

Thursday we commemorate the 58th anniversary of the death of Sister Theresa Benedicta of Jesus, better known as Saint Edith Stein, the Jewish woman who became a nun and, along with Saint Maximilian Mary Kolbe, gave her life in holy martyrdom at the horrific Nazi deathcamp in Poland known as Auschwitz in 1942. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on May 1, 1987 and eleven years later elevated to sainthood by His Holiness on October 11, 1998.

As we enter this glorious month in which we celebrate the two final Glorious Mysteries that center on Our Lady, we are reminded of her call to uphold life in all its stages. Just as she appeared to Blessed Juan Diego in 1531 at Guadalupe to stop human slaughter, so she pleads with her children today to end the slaughter of aborted souls through prayer and returning our country to her Immaculate Heart by voting for those who will uphold the Sanctity of Life.
