The DAILY WORD

Taken from the Gospel for the Fourth Wednesday of Easter:
"He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me, sees Him Who sent Me. I have come a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me may not reamain in the darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not keep them, it is not I Who will judge him; for I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world." John 12: 44-47

God's Laws and ordinary logic have no importance in the agenda of those who promote the killing of the unborn through active or passive consent
|
Today Dr. Frank Joseph pulls no punches in telling it like it truly is. Planned Parenthood and other pro-choice pro-abort organizations seem to have a cover-up of their own, which fits comfortably into the on-going culture of death society in which we live.
"For what does it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, but suffer the loss of his own soul?" Today, Dr. Joseph is befuddled how "pro-choicers" - better known as pro-aborts or, as he refers to as pro-kill - can totally ignore medical evidence and the natural laws of creation not to mention the Almighty's Commandments - specifically "Thou shalt not kill". For his column For the life of me, the law and logic don't add up! , see Pro-Life Prescriptions: LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!

Events that happened this weekend in Church History
On this date 1,116 years ago in 884 Pope Saint Adrian III was elected the to succeed his predecessor Pope Marinus I as the 109th successor of Saint Peter. Because his pontificate was only a year and a half most of his papacy was reaffirming what was decreed by Pope Marinus, specifically on the sanctioning the Eastern Emperor Basil. St. Adrian died while traveling to San Cesario enroute to France where he had been invited by the monarch King Charles the Gross. Enough with the psychobabble, there is only on prescription for happiness and it is in taking up our own cross and following Jesus
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen have been known to launch a thousand images in one's mind, one of the ways this late luminary did so much to evangelize the faith. Because of the urgency of the times and because few there are today who possess the wisdom, simplicity and insight than the late Archbishop who touched millions, we are bringing you daily gems from his writings. The good bishop makes it so simple that we have dubbed this daily series: "SIMPLY SHEEN".
"The hour has come for educators, sociologists and citizens to reverse their steps, to see that if the self is to be really happy, it must be disciplined, pruned, denied and negated by itself. No better law for inner peace has ever been given than that of the Divine Savior: 'If any one will come after Me, let him take up his cross daily and follow Me' (Luke 9: 23)."
April 25th Medjugorje Monthly Message
NOTE: We respectfully recognize and accept the final authority regarding apparitions, locutions and prophecies presently being reported around the world rests with the Holy See of Rome and the Magisterium of Holy Mother Church to whose judjment we humbly and obediently submit.
"Dear children! Also today I call you to conversion. You are concerned too much about material things and little about spiritual ones. Open your hearts and start again to work more on your personal conversion. Decide everyday to dedicate time to God and to prayer until prayer becomes a joyful meeting with God for you. Only in this way will your life have meaning and with joy you will contemplate eternal life. Thank you for having responded to my call."
