JUBILEE MEETING IN MEMORY OF MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA
ROME, SEPTEMBER 3 (ZENIT.org)
On September 5, the third anniversary of
Mother Teresa of Calcutta's death, 1,600 Italian families that adopted
children in response to her invitation will meet in Rome. In previous
years, this meeting has been held simultaneously in several cities, but
for Jubilee, Rome with be the only venue.
A Mass will be celebrated in St. Peter's Basilica at 10 a.m. by Cardinal
Pio Laghi, a "spiritual son" of Mother Teresa. At the end of the
ceremony, the Holy Father will impart his blessing to those present. In
the afternoon, a "Festival of Life" will be held in the General Audience
Auditorium in the Vatican.
