  UPDATE: We can't begin to respond to the hundreds of e-mails that have flooded in with prayers and good wishes from all over the world for Cyndi. The prayers are having a miraculous effect for as late as Friday, September 26 she had been on life support and the doctors, knowing Cyndi's wish was to come off of any artificial means of survival if there was no improvement, were worried. Thankfully. the x-rays had shown a slight improvement Friday morning, enough to take her off the ventilator tube. Yet, early Saturday morning, September 27th she started to slip again. Her x-rays revealed that her lungs were filling up again for the antibiotics weren't able to arrest the fungus in the lungs, which has still not been identified. Cyndi was at total peace with whatever the outcome. Though this editor was pretty downtrodden, we never gave up hope and, to the surprise even of Cyndi's own doctor, she rallied on the mere oxygen mask where her x-rays almost overnight showed improvement early Sunday morning. As much as yours truly and our family wanted to visit her on Sunday, along with her close cousins, the doctor wisely prescribed no visitors and total rest. She rallied so well that on the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel, she was finally transferred from ICU after two full weeks in the Intensive Care Unit where a few times it didn't look like she might make it through the night. We can only attribute that to the countless prayers of intercession, Holy Masses being offered, and the power of the Rosary all laid before the Heavenly Father and the Heavenly King and the Heavenly Sanctifier through the pure, unadulterated love from "Cyndi's Angels. With friends like this who could ever fear anything? The doctor has alerted us that we shouldn't get overly optimistic and everything is still in a wait-and-see mode, but we know you'll keep praying and whatever is God's Holy Will, we totally accept. On behalf of the entire family, thank you again for your bouquets of love and caring. Since we get so many new readers daily, we are keeping the article on-line as well as those we carried last month. To those who have sent cards and letters and love offerings for "Cyndi's Angels" - well, we can't thank you enough and are more in need than ever right now so your outpouring of love is so appreciated. We will try to answer as many as possible, but may this notice be a sign of acknowledgment to our wonderful friends the world over. May God bless you abundantly.

Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey has completed his excellent, thorough critique of the latest release of General Instruction of the Roman Missal by modern Rome. We encourage you to read the entire 77 installments of his comments which reinforce what the Church has always taught pertaining to the propitiatory nature of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. What has been promulgated over the past 40 years is truly G.I.R.M. warfare on the sacred and Holy of holies as Tom clearly points out in his eye-opening magnificent completed work The Germs of G.I.R.M.
Doctors of the Church 
The twenty-ninth Doctor in this chronological series on the Doctors of the Church was born in Spain and throughout his life had obstacle after obstacle placed in his path. Despite the roadblocks, from the earliest possible drowning accident he was protected - under the mantle of the Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph. He longed for perfection, desiring to please only Our Lord, so much so that he accepted pain and suffering willfully, even to being demeaned and ridiculed, called an apostate and worse. Through all of this he still kept the Faith when all about him wanted to take it away. He was encouraged by a saintly pupil whom he aided greatly in reform of the Carmelites. God confirmed to all his persecutors that this holy priest was right and deserved the aura of sanctity at his death which this saint had foretold the exact year, month, day and hour. He wrote a book that boosts the confidence of so many who have those times of doubt about their Faith. He showed where faith is not about feelings, but about perseverance during those dark nights of the soul. He was the dauntless Saint John of the Cross.
Quid Dicit Scriptura 
One of the areas The Daily Catholic has not been able to furnish until now is a solid Catholic Apologetic based on the Holy Scriptures. Mario Derksen refflects on the "coincidences" of a "transitional Pope" which, no one can deny, John XXIII was. Mario contends in his theory that it was all prearranged in order to implement the very agenda that has rendered the Church so impotent in grace today, all begun by setting Angelo Roncalli up as a "transitional Pope" - the "good" pope in the eyes of the world. That alone should have warned us of what was ahead when the same men who elected John XXIII allowed Giovanni Montini to mount the Papal Throne and from there wield the axe of destruction by introducing all that Popes Pius IX and Leo XIII, as well as St. Pius X, Pius XI and Pius XII had so meticulously safeguarded.
