Once the great sinner, the scandal of the family, the Magdalene rushes across the room and falls at Jesus’ feet!
"Arise, Mary," Jesus tells her lovingly. Let us sit together in the last of the sunshine."
Drawing her to her feet, I can clearly see that Mary of Magdala is indeed a beautiful woman. She is tall and slender, her face spotless, her long, thick hair pulled back and kept in place by very plain combs and hair pins.
She is without any adornment, no make-up whatsoever, yet her beauty is all the more real. She has large eyes which see much, which contemplate much and ponder, but the very essence of her soul, now transformed into holiness because of Jesus, is a pure light which gazes at Jesus with intense pure, spiritual love.
"Master!"
"Mary."
"The time has come for You, for all of us. I do not fully understand how, but I feel it here in my heart. It is like a sword, or a very heavy weight."
"It is the time of sorrow, Mary, for all who must be obedient to the Father. Then shall come the triumph, the victory."
"I believe and my heart understands your words."
"Mary, my beloved child, a true conquest for My Kingdom, you must not be sad. This is God’s victory and the fulfillment of My earthly Mission."
"Master, it is just that now, at this time, I seem to see all my past life - my life of hideous sin - rise before me as a hideous monster. And at night when I seek to pray, my prayer does not come because this monster from my past curses me, calls me a fool and condemns me."
Jesus looks at her intently and He is searching her heart, which gives Him such joy because it overflows with the pure love He seeks from all His lost sheep.
"Mary! Mary! This is not the time of the evil one. Satan seeks to strike at each heart. He seeks to blind, confuse and through confusion he leads to doubt and despair. Look at me, Mary!"
Mary, who has lowered her head now looks strongly, steadfastly into the eyes of her Lord and God, and upon her features a renewed courage appears.
"Master!"
"Do you believe that you are forgiven? Do you believe in My love for you, and how your repentant heart gives Me, the Man, courage and strength?"
"Yes, Lord, I believe." Jesus rises from His chair and places both hands upon her head. He raises His eyes to Heaven and His lips move in silent prayer.
"From this moment on, Mary, you shall no longer be victim of the evil one’s lies. You possess pure, holy love. This shall sustain you and you shall be strong in the face of the multitude which shall insult and ridicule and threaten all who love Me. Mary?"
She is weeping now, but gently, quietly."Yes, Master!"
"I want you to remember this time. Let it, and all that I have said and done for you, be ever in your mind and upon your heart. Mary, when the dreadful hour comes you will have courage, and fro you many, in future generations, will find hope and trust in Me."
"I will be strong, Jesus, for I love you so."
"You will shine as a star of love in My kingdom, and at the end of all time you will know all those souls who, by your life and example, have believed in Me and won eternal life. I bless you, My dear, loving daughter. Stand by your family. Be an example even to My Apostles, for the moment of their real strength is yet to come. Do this, My child of love. And I shall return to you, to re-confirm to you all I have spoken."
Mary now leaves her chair and falls to her knees. She bends low and, in perfect humility, bestows a kiss upon the feet of her Savior. Then, she takes first His right hand and kisses the palm, while Jesus gazes with ardent love and constant blessing. She does the same to His left palm, each kiss placed upon the pure, holy, spotless flesh that will in a few days be bruised, lacerated and pierced by cruel spikes.
Her tears do not cease, nor are any more words spoken. She bows low and hiding her face beneath her veil, she withdraws.
Jesus appears saddened, and does not sit but looks out upon the peaceful garden of Lazarus’ estate, drawing from The Father’s creation yet more solace as His hour draws near.
"Son!" His Mother’s greeting. A voice made in Heaven, from Heaven. Quickly Jesus turns to see Mary, His most holy Mother, already near Him. She moves without sound, always meek, humble, gentle and so aware of Her Son’s increasing anguish.
"O! Mother!" It is a sigh. A prayer.
"Dear Son, I am here now. I will not leave You until you instruct me to do so." Her eyes behold Him, drink in every aspect of the Son of God, Whom she has born in her virginal womb.
"The hour is so close. I have said nearly all I must say to fulfill the Divine Will."
"I know, Son."
"They shall need you, O good, holy Mother!"
"I know, Son. I will not fail You. I will be whatever God wants me to be for them."
"Mother, with each passing moment The Son grows closer to His hour, and the awesome burden increases. Yet, together, We must exhort all to faith, to hope and to love."
"Yes, my Son. We will do that. The Father will hear my poor prayer."
"OI sorrowful mother, the world will one day recognize that you, also, have suffered the most hideous tortures, and have remained without the slightest blemish of sin. This is a font of strength for Me, Mother, because I shall have before Me in My deepest anguish, your virtues so beautiful before the Trinity."
"I am the handmaid of the Lord, Son. I have never sought other than His Will."
"Pray now with Me, Mother, for the strength needed to fulfill Our Mission. Pray to the Father for all mankind, that all that is yet to be suffered shall not be in vain."
They kneel, their heads lifted to Heaven. Together they pray, "Our Father, Who art in Heaven..." and the sun sets upon their prayer.
In the message of December 8, 1984, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Our Lady shared this mystery of the Immaculate Conception with Amparo. She stated: "Defend my purity, my children. When the mystery of God the Father became flesh in my womb, there was no stain. It was purer and lighter than the lily...Remember that your mother was pure before and after, my child. The ray of the sun entered my womb and there my Son was formed. It was the mystery of His divine majesty, my children. My purity is a special gift which God, my Creator, granted to me, my children... Only the angels know the mystery of the Incarnation. of my purity, of my humility on earth, and of my charity toward human beings."
By way of summary, it is appropriate to say that the messages, which the visionary Amparo Cuevas has received from our Blessed Mother for the past 17 plus years, are unique in their simplicity and complexity. They discuss or relate the major concerns, which the Queen of Heaven and earth has with respect to the spiritual decadence, which afflicts our society and is gradually gnawing at its moral fiber. The messages provide us with a wealth of information Marian spirituality as well as episodes on the lives of Jesus and Mary with numerous details not found in the Bible.
Finally, the messages present us with the challenges of conversion and a spiritual rebirth which will enable us to establish the basis of a spiritual life designed to prepare us to meet our Creator.
As with all the messages and apparitions, they are still on-going and Amparo continues to offer her suffering as a victim soul as her small part in fulfilling Our Lord and Our Lady's request for sacrifice, penance and prayer.
Therefore as we experience this Lenten season, first let us all concentrate through a thorough examination of conscience how much do we really want to be transformed through a total conversion of heart by the grace of the Holy Spirit. Just how much are we willing to give back to God who has given All to us?
After this examination of conscience, a good, holy Confession should follow, which disposes the soul to follow Jesus and ask Him: "What do you want me to do, Lord?" "Speak, Lord, for thy servant heareth" (1 Kings 3:9). In the silence of our being, Jesus will fill us with that supernatural knowledge of what He wishes of each one of us at that moment. Where and how do each one of us make sacrifice for Him? In what spirit of sacrifice do we commence? our journey home to God? We know now that it's a life-long process, not just something we "have to do" during a mere 40 days of Lent. Now, when we prepare properly, we understand in our soul that "sacrifice" which incorporates prayer and penance, is absolutely necessary every single day our lives.
The true spirit of sacrifice is to desire with our whole being to subdue the human ego, passions, desires, intellect, and senses. Only then can we permit the Holy Spirit to bring alive the intellect of the soul, which then predominates and keeps under control all the human weaknesses of which we are subject to due to Original Sin.
Over and over in Holy Scripture, in the messages of Our Lord and His Blessed Mother to messengers and visionaries throughout the ages, the repeated phrase from Heaven is: "Pray, Pray, Pray!" Prayer is the link to God which keeps us focused, helps us to willingly submit to God's Perfect Will, to dismiss our will as nothing.
For each on their journey to God, the manner and degree of sacrifice will vary according to God' plan of life for that person. That is why one must, through prayer, Confession and Holy Communion, seek to discern properly that which God seeks of each one of us. Into each person's life, God sends help through holy people, priests and lay, who, by God's grace, help to point out the way we are to proceed. Who could be a better teacher than our very own Holy Father Pope John Paul II? We don't really realize how blessed we are in this day and age.
When his Holiness and others come into our life, do we listen, learn, and go forward? Or do we dismiss them, seeking the easy way out, the comfortable way of lukewarmness? Remember what God says in the Apocalypse/ Revelation 3:16: "But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit thee out of My mouth." Do we reject these holy persons because they tweak our conscience and make us realize that change is demanded of us by God if we are going to be with Him for all Eternity? We've all failed at one time or another. We've misused God's graces, ignored them, and rebuked the holy people He sent our way...and we've gone on our merry way, oblivious of whom we've hurt especially ourselves. But at every moment, Jesus knocks at the door of our heart, no matter how much we may have hurt Him. That's Love! Do we answer the knock, or slam the door even tighter, and slip a dead-bolt lock on it?
Lent is the perfect time to unlock the bolt and open the door. Even if we just crack it enough for Jesus to get His toe in. If we give Him some daylight, He'll shed His Light. Once we see His foot with the nail wound, we'll want to see His hands and His side at Saint Thomas the Apostle sought, and, hopefully from there to see His face - the loving, kind and merciful eyes of Our Savior and feel the warmth of His Sacred Heart. Once we experience this, we will have an "open door" policy. Guaranteed. We will willingly seek out ways to make sacrifices every single day and we can do so in so many ways that will please God and cause Him to shower down His graces on us, our family, friends and all who are in need of His graces. That basically covers everyone!
Next Installment: Conclusion
You have not fully heard my messages. You read them, but they are words whose meaning does not penetrate your heart. You interpret but fail to discern. Therefore, my little ones, many of you have grown weary and no longer will to walk the path of Salvation. This path is suffering through loving obedience to the Divine Will.
Pray, my children. Go before the Blessed Sacrament and seek the help of my Divine Son. Beg to be possessed by the Holy Spirit. I solemnly say to you: Great events are unfolding now to fulfill all I have foretold. Let your hearts believe. Be within the refuge of my Son's Sacred Heart. Let all who are called to physical refuge, forming true Eucharistic communities do this now! Begin these places so the Holy Spirit, through my unceasing intercession, will form you into true communities. Have great faith. Much will be given to those who trust with unlimited confidence. All that you need will be given you. Yes, my Divine Son shall give to His children everywhere powerful signs of His Love and Mercy. These signs are real. They are independent of any one person, but are meant for many to behold and thus grow in faith.
Therefore, wait, watch and pray. Read Sacred Scripture and pray the Rosary from your heart. Go to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and receive the Sacraments. Confession and Communion must be given to those of seven years of age, and the vital importance of Confirmation must not be delayed. This Sacrament has become lost, its meaning obscured by modern thinking. All children from ages eleven to twelve should be prepared for this Sacrament, as it will help them to be strong for these end times.
I love and bless you. Thank you for responding to my Call!
Please say to all of my children: I am your Mother, the Immaculate Conception, Queen of Peace. I have come to tell all the world that only in and with God does Peace exist. Beloved children, the days of spiritual darkness overflow like a raging torrent. O! The evil one is clever and you are not awake to the Holy Spirit. Do not believe the falsehoods of those who preach that change which leads you to lack of reverence for God is good, because mankind is now so sophisticated and learned.
I solemnly tell you that God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is unchanging. From all eternity God is. At the first moment of creation all reverence, respect and adoration belonged to God. This has not changed. It is mankind who has changed, losing the faith to live lives of holiness, piety, devotedness to God alone.
Even in my Divine Son's Church the evil one succeeds at diminishing God and making of Him a piece of paper to be studied and then discarded.
Woe! Triple woe to those who, by lack of faith lost by their own will, lead my little ones astray.
Dear children, I am among you to warn you, to prepare you, to draw you back to my Divine Son.
If you would understand clearly, then go and read the words I have spoken to mankind beginning at LaSalette and up to the present moment. If you read with the discernment of the Holy Spirit you will grasp that in earlier generations my words foretold disasters which came to pass. I have come ceaselessly among you for many years, and increased the number of my apparitions to say to you that these are the end times.
The chalice overflows and sin engulfs all nations. No nation shall be spared God's Justice. Yet, I beseech you to pray and be at peace, for God does not abandon His faithful ones.
I solemnly tell you the mind of man cannot conceive of the chastisements yet to come. It will be worse than in all of mankind's history. O! Pray! Pray! Pray! Help one another.
I love and bless you. Thank you for responding to my Call!
Besides heading the Archdiocese of Venice, he also serves as a Curial member in the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments and the Congregation for the Oriental Churches. Even though he hails from one of the areas known as a "cradle for Popes," he could be considered, but his limited Curial experience and age say he wouldn't be a contender in the event of a papal election. To Venetians that is a good omen for they have come to love and appreciate this man from Izano, considering him as one of their own and they don't want to let go.
