Our Lady shares her heart with her children

Our Lady's "Quiet Gift" to Ireland speaks volumes at Knock
In commemoration of Saint Patrick's Day we bring you Ireland's most famous apparition today - the Apparitions at Knock, Ireland when the Blessed Mother appeared along with Saint Joseph and Saint John the Evangelist on the south gable of the Church at Knock in County Mayo in northwest Ireland. Not a word was spoken but the image of these three with an altar, cross and lamb with angels surrounding them spoke volumes. Four Roman Pontiffs have visited this popular site including Pope John Paul II on September 30th twenty years ago. More defenders of Pope Pius XII surface on one year anniversary of Shoah document
 Volumes and volumes of material prove, without a shadow of a doubt, what the Vatican has contended all along: that Pope Pius XII did more to help the Jewish people during the terrible years of Nazi persecution than anyone else. That is why men such as Father Peter Gumpel, serving as the relator in Pius XII's beatification cause, are puzzled at those who have accused the quiet pontiff of not doing enough. Archbishop of Denver believes in the principle that if you build it, they will come
While some dioceses are closing seminaries, the Archdiocese of Denver is starting to teem with candidates for the priesthood; no doubt due to the excellent shepherd who guides his flock - Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, OFM Cap. and his predecessor Cardinal James Francis Stafford who have placed a special emphasis on evangelizing for the new millennium. Vocations are so much on the increase that Denver is building a new seminary to accommodate the influx as well as provide a link to Rome via the Pontifical Lateran University tie-in where students of Our Lady of the New Advent Theological institute can obtain pontifical degrees. Peace process suffers setback in Northern Ireland with another car bombing of prominent Catholic lawyer
In an apparent, overt act designed to halt the peace process in Northern Ireland, a car bomb took the life of a prominent Catholic human rights attorney in County Armagh. No one claimed responsibility but all those advocating peace on both the Catholic and Protestant side expressed outrage and condemned the murder as cold-blooded, stating it is an outright attempt to "sabotage the peace process at a critical time." Cardinals in Old and New World address abortion issue
  In Scotland Cardinal Thomas Joseph Winning extended mercy to sinners by reminding his priests that all mothers who have had abortions can receive forgiveness and "make peace with God and their aborted babies" through a sincere confession without having to be referred to the archbishop for absolution as was the case prior to the changes in Canon Law. Half way around the world in Mexico City, Cardinal Norberto Rivera, Archbishop of Mexico City braced his flocks to be prepared to fight the legalization of abortion as something Catholics must not stand for in good conscience.
