Holy Father reinforces Humanae Vitae to Western U.S. Bishops
On the feast of the most recent Doctor of the Church Saint Therese of the Child Jesus the Holy Father gathered the bishops from the Western United States including controversial liberal Cardinal Roger Mahony and, in no uncertain terms, but lovingly encouraged these prelates to defeat the culture of death by heeding the wisdom of Humanae Vitae which is the source of virtue and disregard for it has led to a deterioration of morals and values, especially in the prosperous United States. Surrender to Christ and the victory is ours!
In the second of two parts on Surrendering our heart and soul, Father Stephen Valenta, OFM Conv. emphasizes how Jesus needs us to surrender totally to Him for Him to be able to effectively work through and for us. We must give decrease by surrendering our thought so He may increase in our lives and thus provide greater freedom for us because of our submission to Him. "Your country is proud and filled with countless gods which have killed the very life of the One God within you."
Those are pertinent words for the United States today from the Blessed Mother Mary to the Hidden Flower of the Immaculate Heart, as Our Lady reiterates the need to realize the times are treacherous and we will survive only if we are rooted in the faith, obedient to her Divine Son's Church and the Pope and securely tucked beneath her Immaculate Mantle. Our Lady also warns all not to think we will escape persecution but to prepare for it will definitely come. There can be no triumph without the cross! Despite some Jewish protests, Pope John Paul II beatified Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac Saturday with Papal Envoy Cardinal Franjo Kuharic and President Franjo Tudjman in attendance. Prior to the Pope's arrival, hundreds of thousands flocked to Zagreb to view the remains of the controversial former Archbishop of Zagreb who has been demeaned by Jews as an accomplice of Nazi policy and by Catholics as a savior of Croatia. Louisville Bishop's support of pulling the tubes of Virginia Catholic wins out over Associate Pastor and Governor's appeal
Michele Finn, wife of comatose victim Hugh Finn, won a heart-breaking decision from a Virginia Judge to have his feeding tubes removed, thus most likely prompting a certain death. While Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore and Father Daniel Gee an associate pastor at All Saints parish in Manassas, Virginia campaigned vigorously to prevent this, the bishop of Louisville, Bishop Thomas Kelly sided with the wife who felt no recovery was possible and he had suffered enough. Yet Finn, even in his vegative state, wept when informed he would no longer be able to receive the Holy Eucharist once the tubes were removed. For more, click on A thin gray line .
Australian bishop cracks down on radical feminist who hasn't got a clue!
Radical feminist Ann Nugent, a Canberra parishioner and leader of the Australian group Ordination of Catholic Women still hasn't got a clue even after Bishop Bishop Geoffrey Mayne informed her she was no longer allowed to participate in the Sacraments or any ministry of the Church in her parish of St. Thomas More in suburban Canberra or any other parish. To ensure this Bishop Mayne notified Archbishop Francis Carroll head of the Canberra archdiocese. Rather than be obedient Nugent is railing out at the bishop as liberals are wont to do when they don't get their way despite her definitive violations of Church doctrine. Medjugorje Monthly Message for September 25th
Dear children! Today, I call you to become my witnesses by living
the faith of your fathers. Little children, you seek signs and
messages and do not see that, with every morning sunrise, God
calls you to convert and to return to the way of truth and salvation.
You speak much, little children, but you work little on your
conversion. That is why, convert and start to live my messages, not
with your words but with your life. In this way, little children, you
will have the strength to decide for the true conversion of the heart.
Thank you for having responded to my call
