"Qui legit, intelligat"
Today we bring you the Sunday Sermon from this past Sunday, the 19th Sunday After Pentecost in which Father Louis Campbell focuses on the Holy Gospel of Matthew, 22: 1-14 in which Our Lord speaks of the Kingdom of Heaven and the Wedding Feast, when those whose souls are not dressed in the garments of grace will be banished from the feast, the Kingdom of Heaven. This passage includes the much repeated passage, "Many are called, but few are chosen." Father clarifies the true meaning further in his homily The Kingdom of Heaven
Pro-Life Prescriptions On this Feast of the Guardian Angels, both Dr. Frank Joseph and Dr. Thomas Droleskey focus on the political landscape and the moral ramifications. In Dr. Frank's column, he targets the sorry Democratic Party and how the platform is one right out of hell. He points out that the Democratic Party has, despite Christ's words "What doth it profit a man if he gain the whole world but suffer the loss of his soul?", sold their collective soul to the devil. He elaborates in Proof: The Democratic Party Mocks God .
Christ or chaos
Anyone reading Dr. Joseph's column might think than the Republican Party should be the platform to embrace for pro-life advocates, but Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey weighs in with disturbing evidence that both parties are corrupted and the only Party to rely on is the one which honors Christ as their King and Our Lady as their Queen for to place our trust in man, we will be left with chaos rather than the peace of Christ. When we place our future in man or temporal ideals, we will be greatly disappointed no matter the rhetoric or spin we might hear. It is not always what it may seem as Tom asserts in his eye-opening column Money Trumps the Preborn .
Liturgy of the Saints Today is the Double Major Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, which was extended to the universal Church in 1608 by Pope Paul V and his successor Pope Clement X set that this feast be observed on the first free day after the feast of Saint Michael the Archangel. SIMPLY SHEEN: Treasures from Bishop Sheen
This week, the late, great Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen talks about the lost art of hospitality and how we can practice it in the true Christian sense, seeing Christ in everyone we meet and greet. We love our neighbor not for who he or she is, but out of love for God. In that way, we will discover that we don't have to search high and low, spending endless time searching for the "Holy Grail of Grace," for it is there before us if we only peel away the "no vacancy" sign over our eyes and heart. Bishop Sheen shows us how, through Christ's teachings, we can reach out to others and, as guests at the Wedding Feast as Sunday's Gospel referred to, we can help others to properly attired in the proper "wedding garments" of grace and, thus, share the banquet for the great Feast which is Heaven as he points out in The Holy Grail of Grace.

Obituary Tribute by Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey to a great Traditional priest who passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2002 in the Los Angeles area. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, October 4 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 9621 Bixby in Garden Grove, California with the Requiem Mass there on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Our Lord is so very merciful. He permits us weak vessels of clay enough time here in this vale of tears to learn how stupid we have been in the past, to see how others cooperated with the graces made available to them to see clearly the state of the Church and of the world. This gift of divine mercy is ineffable and gratuitous, thoroughly unmerited.
